Surplus Database The Surplus Database is used by airlines and suppliers to list excess inventory that is on hand and available for sale. Contained in this resource are airframe, engine, avionics, testing equipment, expendables, rotables, tooling and ground equipment used by airlines. The database includes available quantities, location and condition of the parts. Unlike the Procurement Database or Repair Database, the Surplus Database does not have any viewing restrictions. Therefore, all of the data are available to all participants. A detailed description of the Surplus Database functionality and file formats can be found in Chapter 12 of the Spec 2000 Main Document.
